You’ve probably already heard about the eighth instalment of the Fast and Furious franchise taking place in New York City, but now we also know that some of the filming is taking place in Iceland.
According to a report from Iceland Review, the film will feature the countries biggest explosion ever, which is going to be filmed in Akranes, located 28 miles north of Reykjavík.
Regardless of where filming is taking place, Fast and Furious just wouldn’t be fast or furious without stupid fast and ridiculous cars, right?
Well it appears that the franchise has evolved from tuner cars and stop light racing to wheel-less G.I. Joe looking off-road vehicles. Images released by Jalopnik reveal several military vehicles that resemble custom-built European Humvees, custom-designed ATVs, and some heavily armoured Ram trucks.
It’s speculated by fans that Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto may be using one of the aforementioned vehicles to escape the explosion.
Fast and Furious 8 is set to release in theaters on April 14, 2017.
